Formerly known as Bassingbourn Ski Centre, and serving the people of South Cambridgeshire, North Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex, Bassingbourn Snowsports Centre is located on the A1198, 3 miles north of Royston (within the Bassingbourn Army Training Regiment Barracks) and 12 miles south-west of Cambridge.
The Main Slope is 100m long, with a maximum gradient of 20 degrees, and has a Poma button lift to speed skiers to the top.
The Training Slope is 45m long with a maximum gradient of 16 degrees, and has a rope tow, so beginners spend less time walking and more time skiing as their skill increases!
Both slopes are floodlit, so that they can be fully utilised during the Winter months. There is a large Clubhouse for kitting-up, along with a rest area with comfortable seating and tables - and a shop selling tea, coffee, Tuck Shop snacks and cold drinks.
